<p>Shelby Super Cars announced the replacement to their 256 mph Ultimate Aero. The <span><span>SSC</span></span> Tuatara (twit-<span><span>ar</span></span>-a) is the next contender to fight the Volkswagen Group&#8217;s current top speed record holder, the <span><span>Bugatti</span></span> <span><span>Veyron</span></span> Super Sport. To accomplish this task the speed has to come from somewhere, and that somewhere happens to be a seven liter twin-turbo V8 engine, paired to a seven speed gearbox. Estimated to produce a mind shattering 1,350 (one-THOUSAND-three-hundred-fifty) horsepower, this will give an advantage of 150 hp over the <span><span>Bugatti</span></span> <span><span>Veyron</span></span> <span><span>SS</span></span>. I&#8217;m guessing the <span><span>SSC</span></span> Tuatara will need every bit of this power to push the <span><span>supercar</span></span> past the current speed record of 268 mph. <span><span>SSC</span></span> is looking to get the Tuatara into the books at 275 mph, so we can only guess that a new <span><span>Bugatti</span></span> creation is just around the corner&#8230;they don&#8217;t seem enjoy when their record gets broken.</p>

<p>Developed primarily as a marketing tool, the Porsche 918 RSR was created to promote the benefits of hybrid technology on the track. This racer is based off of the <a href="2010/03/02/porsche-918-spyder-concept/">918 Spyder Concept </a>which Porsche unveiled earlier last year. With the drivetrain borrowed from a GT3 R Hybrid race car, this powerhouse would pump out a combined 767 hp (563 hp combustion &amp; 204 hp electric) from two electric motors and a 6.2 liter V8. The 918 RSR stores breaking energy in a flywheel accumulator, located where a passenger would normal sit. This provides the driver with up to 8 seconds of boost to aid acceleration, which would definitely prove helpful on the track. Porsche is trying to change the racing regulations to allow a hybrid race car to participate in a major sports car series in the near future. Here&#8217;s hoping this happens sooner than later.</p>

Police arrested Colin after seeing photos the press released showing him riding his scooter on public highways. He is currently out on bail until his court date in May. Possession of a firearm in the UK carries a maximum prison sentence of 5 to 7 years. Who&#8217;d have thought driving around shooting 15 ft flames out of a scooter would get you in trouble?</p>
