Porsche 918 Spyder Concept
The Porsche 918 Spyder Concept was just unveiled at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. This beauty packs a 500 hp mid-mounted V-8 engine. In addition to that comes another 218 hp from two electric motors which are mounted over the front and rear axles. This boost brings this Boxter sized plug-in hybrid to a whopping 718 hp. All this power will easily get you from 0-60 mph in only 3.2 seconds. What about the fuel economy? Well, that is just as impressive. Porsche is saying that this hybrid will get an astonishing 78 mpg. Add to all this a faster lap time than a Carrera Gt on the Nurburgring, we see no reason why this beast shouldn’t go to production. Please.
